Canadian police have identified the victim whose numerous body parts were found scattered around Toronto as a single mother of three who owned a now-defunct spa.
The head, foot and hands of 41-year-old Liu Guanghua were discovered in a river west of Toronto last week.
Then on the weekend, her two calves, a thigh and an arm were found in a creek in an eastern part of the city.
One discovery of a bag containing bone and "fatty tissue" was made on Sunday by a Toronto reporter sent to take photographs of police at the scene where body parts were found on Saturday.
Peel Region Inspector George Koekkoek said all the body parts have been forensically linked to Ms Liu, a Canadian citizen of Chinese descent.
She was last seen alive on August 10 when she was dropped off at work by friends.
Insp Koekkowek said neither the victim nor the spa were known to police.
Investigators also searched a hotel room at the Scarborough Inn, near to where the remains were found over the weekend.
A memorial for Chinese student Lin Jun in Montreal The hotel's owner told local media that police made inquiries about a man who checked into room 39 at around 3.30 am on Saturday, before he departed an hour later.
The body part discoveries come after another gruesome Canadian murder hunt that ended in Europe.
In that case, gay porn actor Luka Magnotta was arrested in Germany after allegedly dismembering a Chinese student in Montreal and mailing his body parts to political parties and a school.
Police have ruled out any connection between the cases.
Officers still do not know how Ms Liu died and do not believe there are other victims. Some parts of Ms Liu's body have yet to be recovered.
